Setting up new Groups, Users & Strategies

Create a New Group

Login to www.myteamsafe.com then click on Administration on left-hand side.

To add a new group, click the Add button then select Group.

Type a name that represents your new group.

Choose the default lone working Strategy for this group, you can override this at user-level if required. You can create your own custom strategies.

Choose a default Supervisor for the group, you can also override this at user-level if required. If the name of the supervisor you want is not there, you need to set them up as a new user first.

If you would like this strategy to automatically start for all users in this group (unless overridden at user-level) then click on the Auto Start tab

To exclude starting on specific days (such as bank holidays and annual leave), you can enter the dates to exclude from the auto-start here.

To create a new autostart rule, enter a description and then click on the plus (+) sign. This description means you would like the strategy to auto start at 8AM (weekdays only). You define the actual rule on the next page.

Start at 08.00AM Mon-Fri. This means it will ignore weekends

You can choose the strategy you want to Autostart from here.

Click on the Advanced Tab.

You can fill in the hours, minutes and day of month boxes that suit your requirements.

Once you have fill in the information you can scroll down and click on the +Add button to save

Click on Add button and choose User This allows you to set up all of the Lone Workers within your Business or Organisation.

Click on the User Tab to see a list of users (rather than groups)

Use the tabs to jump to the relevant sections, here the ‘Info’ tab is selected.

Here you are choosing a password for the User. You must let the user know what the password is so they can use the system.

Specify the group that the user will be associated with.

‘Type’ tab Tick appropriate boxes. Company Administrator is ONLY for the administrator of the account. Lone Working Permission enables start/stop of strategies from the mobile app, On-Site permission enables the user to text ‘FIRE to initiate a fire roster to be sent via email.

Enter a PIN number for the User. This is what they will enter in the app to confirm they are safe.

‘Contact’ tabThe Email and SMS contact details are essential fields when the lone worker needs to be contacted by the system. For example, if the user has not checked-in on time, the strategy may escalate by sending a push notification, email or text (SMS).

‘Alert’ tab choose the default strategy for the User (for lone working). A specific strategy should only be chosen if they do not use the same strategy as other users in their Group. If you chose None/Inherited then the Group specific strategy will be used, or the company strategy if nothing has been set at group-level. Chose their default supervisor (for escalation notifications).
